Bloomsburg University moved quickly to a site-wide license for Waypoint Outcomes®. The initial application for Waypoint was improved and streamlined feedback on writing, which many programs stress as part of their core curriculum. In May of 2008, Bloomsburg ran a three day assessment workshop to bring pedagogy, assessment for accreditation, and the use of Blackboard and Waypoint together into one focused professional development initiative.
Organized by the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Center, the event is built around the book Scoring Rubrics in the Classroom by Judith Arter and Jay McTighe. The initiative does not stop after the initial workshop, but continues via formal follow up sessions and a sharing of rubrics and discoveries through formal TALE-sponsored presentations.

We congratulate Bloomsburg for its vision in providing the most crucial resource of all, time, and helping maximize the value of Blackboard and Waypoint.
