Waypoint Outcomes® can be used as a standalone software tool, or integrated with leading Learning Management Systems like Blackboard, Blackboard Vista/CE8, and Moodle, the open-source solution.
Waypoint Stand Alone
Waypoint can be easily used as a standalone tool.
Faculty log in directly to our website, and student rosters are loaded by administrators via a standardized Microsoft Excel template.
This approach is ideal for K12 institutions that are not using a Learning Management System, or face-to-face modalities where the LMS is not a crucial part of instruction.
Content Integrations
Waypoint Outcomes is a publishing platform - we are always looking for partners to help deliver high quality assessments to our clients.
For instance, all Waypoint users can import rubrics from RubiStar, a resource for creating rubrics that can be printed or shared via a URL.
RubiStar, a free site developed by the University of Kansas' Advanced Learning Technologies in Education Consortia, has a library of over 100,000 rubrics created by teachers from all over the world, and easy-to-use rubric wizard functionality for building new rubrics.
Custom Integrations
Waypoint Outcomes can be integrated with just about any School Information System or Learning Management System.
Previous custom integrations include The Wharton School of Business' webCafe e-learning platform. Please contact us to learn more about our capabilities.
Our APIs facilitate the following integration points:
• Authentication for faculty, Teaching Assistants, and students
• Support for Peer Review and Self-Assessment
• Synchronization of rosters
• Gradebook integration, so that numeric grades and feedback created with Waypoint can be sent back to the online gradebook in bulk.
