For example, the data illustrated on the graph below was collected by sampling student work from first year composition courses. A relatively small number of papers (200 or so for each measurement) were used to determine student achievement against institution-specific outcomes.

This is data that many institutions work for years to generate; we worked with the client to gather documents submitted online and via hardcopy, designed a rubric to target the necessary data, and assessed the documents within 4 weeks. The institution was able to show a year’s worth of data, and had a benchmark for comparison in future years.
